The wonderful sports festivals held in our homeland, which enjoys a great reputation as a country of health and spirituality, reflect the high assessment that the world gives to Turkmenistan's potential. The national and international belt wrestling championships, which will be held in the Olympic Village in Ashgabat from April 22 to 25, will be a celebration of this truth.

The preparatory work envisaged by the approved plans for the organization of the international tournament was completed on time and at a high level. Foreign athletes will begin arriving in Ashgabat on April 22. Upon arrival, guests will be accommodated in the Sport and Turgenler hotels of the Olympic town. On the same day, an international training seminar for judges and specialists of international competitions will be held, as well as a draw for national wrestling for all weight categories.

The national wrestling competition will be held only among men in eight weight categories - 57, 62, 68, 75, 82, 90, 100 and over 100 kilograms. Preliminary and final fights in this type of program are scheduled for April 23. The opening ceremony of the international tournament will be held on the same day. In the evening of the same day, after the finals, the award ceremony for the winners of the national wrestling competition will be held in the Martial Arts Sports Complex.

The winners of the Alysh belt wrestling competition will be determined the next day, April 24. Men in this type of program will compete in the weight categories of 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and over 100 kilograms, and women in the weight categories of 55, 60, 65 and 70 kilograms. The award ceremony for the winners of the belt wrestling Alysh will also take place in the Martial Arts Sports Complex of the Olympic City.
