FC Arkadag Crowned AFC Challenge League Champions

Turkmen club FC Arkadag have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 AFC Challenge League, defeating Cambodia's Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng 2–1 in the final, according to the AFC press service.

In regular time, both teams exchanged goals: Mekan Saparov, a defender for Arkadag, opened the scoring in the 59th minute, but Saret Krea equalized with a header eight minutes before the end, sending the match into extra time.

The winning goal came in the 112th minute, when Altymyrat Annadurdyyew struck decisively to secure the victory for the Turkmen side.

The triumph in Phnom Penh is a historic achievement for FC Arkadag. The club has won its first-ever international tournament and became the third team from Turkmenistan to claim a trophy under the AFC's umbrella.
