All three crews representing Turkmenistan successfully performed at the 2025 Silk Way International Rally Marathon, which was held across the Russian Federation and Mongolia.

The Silk Way International Rally project dates back to 2009. The route of the first edition of the rally, held on the initiative of Hero Arkadag, started in Kazan and finished in Ashgabat.

The 15th anniversary Silk Way Rally Marathon started on July 12 in Irkutsk. The exciting competition ended on July 22 in Gorno-Altaisk. Its route, 4,811 kilometers long, ran through the Irkutsk Region, Buryatia and the Altai Republic, as well as Mongolia. The crews competed in 11 stages, running along winding roads, mountains, valleys and deserts.

In the overall standings of the T2 production cars, Merdan and Shokhrat Toylyev won. This is their second victory in the Silk Way Rally. The crew of Meylis Abdullayev and Italmaz Charyev took second place. The Turkmen team of Maksatmyrat Danatarov and Didar Orazmedov took third place. All winners were awarded cups and medals of the competition.
